Motorcycle lessons and IBT training in Deansgrange

Deansgrange sits in south Dublin near Blackrock and Foxrock, an area of steady suburban traffic that gives a learner plenty to work with once the basics are in place.

Learning to ride from Deansgrange

The suburban roads around Deansgrange are good for practising the everyday skills: roundabouts, junctions and reading other drivers. We start you somewhere quiet to get the controls sorted, then bring in busier roads as you settle. It's a measured way to learn that leaves you ready for whatever the road throws up.

We cover Deansgrange and the nearby south Dublin areas of Blackrock, Cabinteely and Foxrock.

  • Bike and gear provided

No machine of your own? You'll ride ours, with the gear sorted, so there's nothing to buy before you start.

  • Small groups

On the road it's usually one or two riders per instructor: calm, RSA approved and at a pace that suits you.

  • Built around your test

Everything ties back to what the examiner wants, so you're ready when test day comes.

Pre-test at the Dún Laoghaire/Deansgrange test centre

The Dún Laoghaire/Deansgrange test centre is in the Highline Building at Bakers Point, on Pottery Road (A96 KW29), and we do pre-tests there. You'll practise the U-turn, the slow ride and the emergency braking on the roads around it before your test. We cover the rest of the RSA's Dublin test centres too.

You can check the address and the licence categories it covers on the RSA's list of test centres.
